The length of film in a roll depends on its net weight and its thickness in microns: the thinner the film and the heavier the roll, the more metres it contains.

To estimate the length, you need to know the net weight of the film, its width and its thickness. For the same weight, a 17-micron film will contain noticeably more metres than a 23-micron one. That is why it is important to look not only at the price of the roll but also at its actual net weight and thickness.
